Using Student e-mail

To access student e-mail from a College PC, type the following into Internet Explorer:

http://s-mail

If you want to access e-mail from outwith College, type the following into Internet Explorer

https://s-mail.abcolstudents.ac.uk

You will then be asked to login to the mail system


 
To login enter your 8-digit user ID and the password that you use to log into the PC.

You will then get access to your mailbox


 
To create an e-mail, click on the down arrow next to New and then choose message, this will bring up a new e-mail box ready for you to type into.


 
The To field should contain the full e-mail address of the person you are sending to.

The Subject field should be a few words about the subject of the e-mail.

If you need so send a file with the e-mail, click on the attachments button and then browse to the file you want to attach.

Type your e-mail message in the main window and when complete, click send.

Once sent, the message will appear in your sent items folder.

Restrictions

Student mail boxes are restricted to 25MB so you should regularly archive or delete items from your mailbox so that you have enough space.  When you delete items, remember to also empty your deleted items folder.
