Additional Learning Needs
For students with disabilities and other additional learning needs the Learning Development Centre offers an advice, assessment, support and training service for people with specific learning difficulties (including dyslexia, physical disabilities and sensory impairment).
The aim is to help increase access to quality opportunities for clients in education, training and employment.
The services provided include:
- Help with application for the Disabled Students’ Allowance
- Advice
- Assessment of needs
- Support
- Training and support in the use of enabling technologies
Students can evaluate a wide range of enabling technologies in a comfortable, relaxed environment. Staff in the Learning Development Centre can also provide advice on additional funding.
