Its student central!  Between the College and the two universities, the city is home to around 30,000 students!  The third largest city in Scotland and the oil capital of Europe, Aberdeen has a thriving economy and cosmopolitan atmosphere.

The city has a fantastic social scene and you’ll be spoiled for choice when it comes to going out.  With hundreds of restaurants and cafes to choose from, eating out is easy - your problem will be deciding which type of food you fancy!  There are a huge choice of nightclubs, bars and pubs so there’s plenty of choice when it comes to partying!

Aberdeen boasts three multi-screen cinemas, a world class theatre, a major exhibition centre and various other entertainment venues throughout the city all catering for different tastes.

Shop till you drop…

You’ve found the place for retail therapy! With several shopping malls including the new multimillion pound Union Square development, designer boutiques, major department stores and speciality shops there’s no shortage of shopping opportunities!

A Sporting chance….

For the energetic, there are many leisure centres, gyms and swimming pools and, if you enjoy the outdoors, Aberdeen and its surrounding coast and mountains can offer a range of activities.  Windsurfing, sailing, skiing or hill climbing – just some of the sports you can try.
